Acumatica 2018 R2 includes significant improvements in the Acumatica Technology xRP Platform, best-in-class business functionality, and industry-specific solutions.

1. Acumatica Technology and xRP Platform

Mobile functionality has always been one of Acumatica’s top priorities. In 2018 R2, you’ll see usability improvements such as push notifications, enhanced navigation, and customization updates. Our user interface now includes targeted pop-up notes, branch navigation, and improved date management.

Reporting now supports pivot tables alongside Generic Inquiries, and you can add a side panel to manage record details without leaving the inquiry screen. You can also merge multiple reports into a single HTML or PDF package for distribution.

2. Best-in-Class Business Functionality

Financial Management: Close financial periods by company so each entity in a multi-entity tenant can manage books independently. A new Tax Calculation Integration Plug-In supports multiple sales tax providers, and enhanced revenue recognition tools help you comply with ASC 606.

Project Accounting: Integrated labor cost rates and project accounting with payroll. “Convert Opportunity to Project” simplifies project quoting and sales, allowing mobile users to collaborate and convert quotes to projects in real time.

CRM Upgrades: Enhanced Outlook integration links email activities to contacts. A branch-based portal lets you control which financial documents customers see. New GDPR compliance tools safeguard personal data and restrict its processing.

3. Industry-Specific Solutions

Distribution Edition: Improved discounting, landed cost document types, streamlined purchase returns, and better freight cost matching reduce costs and save time.

Manufacturing Edition: Advanced Planning and Scheduling enhancements, Engineering Change Control updates, and streamlined production management improve delivery accuracy and cost control.

Field Service Edition: Quote-to-order functionality, note and attachment copying, inventory allocation controls, scheduling improvements, mobile tax and pre-payment support, and enhanced cost tracking boost field productivity.

Commerce Edition: Omni-channel sales workflows separate online payment processing from salesperson-entered orders for greater flexibility.

Construction Edition: Upgraded Procore integration, lifecycle management for RFIs, project issue tracking, automatic lien waiver linking, and WIP reporting import/export scenarios improve construction project control.
